Educational and adventure tourism

A region Mainstream – children's and youth archaeological tourism. In summertime the international expeditions, basically with participation of students-historians from Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Germany and other countries work some. Grammar-school boys and schoolboys, and also participants of historical clubs join them.

The Base student's a Moscow State University expert is nearby to an antique site of ancient settlement "Seagull" (settlement New lake) where the basic excavation is conducted, but students visit also other well-known expeditions, for example, in the cave city of Mangup in the Bakhchsarai area.

Work on excavation very heavy. Schoolboys work usually no more than 4 hours, students 6. The Rest of the time at their order the sea, excursions, sports both very rich and amusing cultural life of expeditions.

On northern departure from the city of Saki at highway to Evpatoria on the right attracts attention a barrow with massive construction on top. It is a concrete PILLBOX (a long-term weapon emplacement) Great Patriotic War times. However now it is stylised under something antique, decorated by Ancient Greek columns. the centre of children's archeology "Penalty-tobe" consists of the small museum exposition devoted to antique times, the Greek colonies of region and to their rivalry with aggressive nomads Scythians. The inhabited part of a complex – so-called Scythian village is intended for residing and a food of children and the adults participating in excavation. Expeditions work on archaeological monuments of Saksky area and vicinities of Evpatoria.
